WELCOME FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dear Parents,

The Ananthamurthy International School, Thiruvananthapuram, is a unique, affordable, accredited Cambridge International school leading to IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education.). The school has adopted activity-based student-centred teaching practices, incorporating Cooperative Learning strategies into the learning experiences suggested by Cambridge for covering prescribed topics.

What makes the school unique is its "Wings & Roots" approach where apart from the core Cambridge International subjects all children learn Malayalam language and get to explore Kerala's history and cultural heritage through the school's Keraleeyam programme. Carnatic classical vocal singing and Kalarippayattu training are compulsory for ALL students.

English is the medium of instruction while Malayalam and Hindi are given equal importance. Kalarippayattu, Art & Craft and Classical Music are very much a part of the school curriculum. Children are provided opportunities for appreciating the need for environmental conservation and ecological sensitivity in the context of sustainable development.
