The Ananthamurthy International School vehemently refuses to allow children to memorize from textbooks. It has mostly adopted the 5 E Instructional Model whereby children are provided opportunities for constructing deep understanding of topics - exploring videos, conducting experiments, undertaking surveys, going on field trips, doing projects, participating in discussions, learning 'games', quizzes...a variety of learning experiences, while negotiating the prescribed academic milestones, enabling students to confidently face examinations.

Opportunities for imbibing 21st Century skills -- Collaboration, Creativity, Critical thinking, Character and Citizenship -- are carefully woven into each learning experience at the school.

The school is owned and managed by the Ananthamurthy Foundation Trust a registered Public Charitable Trust which has 12(A) and 80(G) registrations. With CSR support an overt effort is also made to accommodate children from indigent families belonging to the marginalized sections of the society.
